What is accidental death insurance?

Your family can use the benefits to help replace your future income, or pay costs associated with an accidental death, like medical expenses.

If I already have life insurance, do I need accidental death insurance?
People often underestimate the amount of insurance they need. And although you have life insurance, what would happen if you were involved in a fatal accident? An accidental death insurance policy from Mutual of Omaha Insurance Company pays out benefits for a covered death regardless of any other insurance you may have. This is a great way for your family to receive up to $1,000,000 in coverage at economical rates.

Will my premiums increase as I get older?
Your premiums will never increase due to illness or injury, and you will
never be singled out for a rate increase. However, rates can change only if the same change is made on all policies or certificates of this form issued to everyone of the same classification in your state.

If I’ve been in an accident in the past, does that affect my eligibility?
We understand that accidents happen. And since accidental death insurance helps protects your family’s finances if you’re involved in a fatal accident, you can still apply even if you’ve had an accident in the past.

Can my coverage ever be canceled?
We want to make sure you have the coverage you need. And as long as your premiums are paid on time, your coverage will not be canceled until you reach age 80, when the coverage ends. (In CA, GA, IL, MT, and NV, your Certificate of Insurance will remain in force to age 80 as long as your premiums are paid when due, and the Master Policy remains in force.)
If you apply for family coverage, the coverage ends when you turn 80, or upon the date of your death, if earlier. However, your insured spouse, if under age 80, can continue the coverage. Please read the details about family coverage
here.

Are medical exams required?
No, you don’t have to take a medical exam to receive coverage.
